SCHOOL SUPPLY TRAIN
The School Supply Train project has grown by leaps and bounds over the years. In addition to providing children with quality school supplies, we were able to offer hair cuts, & eye exams thanks to many businesses and individuals. We were also able to offer a teacher line in which we distributed supplies to teachers that they would have likely ended up having to purchase themselves. The Bargain Box generously supplied “extra special” teacher bags! Approximately 2700 backpacks were distributed this year to individuals and over the next few days an additional 1300 backpacks to donated to area schools.

BUCKNER SUMMER CAMP
Today, summer camp is offered in six one-week sessions serving 20-25 campers a week. Currently there are 120-150 children being reached by this project. Children between 6-10 years old are able to attend the camp. The children are given the opportunity to not only have a safe and structured environment, but also gain social and spiritual training to help them be successful in life. The Buckner Summer Day Camp offers children healthy breakfast, snacks, and lunch, social skills taught by Bible study and games, recreational games in the gym and on the playground, field trips, swimming, arts and crafts, and many other great opportunities.
